*Strange Phenomenon In Skies Is Reported By Ivy Street Resident*
Mrs. J. A. Adkins, of 265 Ivy
street, wants to know whether her
eyesight is behaving itself or
whether or not a flock of luminous
birds of a gigantic lightening-bug
type really flew over her house at
8:30 o'clock Sunday night.
The strange phenomena [sic] was noticed
by Mrs. Adkins as she sat on
her veranda and she called it to the
attention of several friends and
they all saw the same thing she
did.
According to Mrs. Adkins the
group of lights looked like shots
from Roman candles but said that
there were fifteen or twenty in the
air and that the group moved steadily
high above her house from the
direction of the northwest toward
the southeast. She said it was not
an airplane because there was no
noise of any kind heard. The group
of lights was moving with much
speed and was seen by all the people
on the veranda at Mrs. Adkins'
home.
