Approximate date. About the middle of Sept [1802?] a shepherd observed a shower of stones which fell around him. At the center where the stones had fallen, a cylindrical aperture was noticed and it was assumed the stones had been emitted from that opening. "Convulsions of the earth" were noticed nearby shortly after the incident.
