Mrs. Hattie Blake first saw a cloud in the "blackest part" of a dark sky looking through a window and then looking through a different window, a clear, starlit sky.
After the cloud of the dark area of the sky had rolled away, she saw the American Flag.
She took the vision as an omen for the "promise of success in our great war for humanity."
