Transcription of the "Littleton Independent" article: "Green Flames Over Paris. Paris. - Imposing and inexplicable phenomena, say the astronomers at the Paris observatory, were to be seen over this city the other night. There were seen two brilliant circles of fire, with green tongues of flames shooting from the circles into a background of the whitest of clouds. The phenomena lasted about two minutes."
