Sighting
"We noticed at about 12 o'clock at night, in the direction of New-London, what we supposed to be the light of a meteor. It extended from the horizon to the zenith, and in form resembled a half closed fan, the widest part being overhead. The edges were sharp and well defined, as are the outer lines of a bright light thrown through the door of an illuminated room, upon an adjoining building in a dark night."
